About

The Ko

The KO serves as a practical and digestible pace of study that leads to a sense of accomplishment. The KO aims to help the learner master the style and knowledge base of the Talmud, while giving ample time for review. The KO can either serve as the teacher or Chavrusa. It can be used as the primary source or learning, or a tool for review. The overarching goal of the KO is to be focused when studying Gemara, not to be overwhelmed with a quantity of study, rather to be invested of the quality of 25 minutes focused on the teaching of our sages.

Looking forward to learning with you, wherever we may KO.

The Ko-leil

The KO-Leil is a slightly different learning than its sister podcast "The-KO."  The goal of the KO-Leil is to learn the smaller Mesechtot, those that are around 30 dapim. The more digestible Mesechtot, which are easier to learn with a chavrusa, easier to review and easier to conquer and store away in our yidiot of Torah. The goal is to learn 2 smaller mesechtot a year. To have one limud begin 3 months before Pesach allowing us to complete the mesechta and make a siyum for the Tanit bichorot, then aiming to review again during Sefirat HaOmer and be misayem again for Shavuot. The 2nd Mesechta will begin right after Shavuot with having in mind to finish for Rosh Hashanah, and then a nice review to be misayem once again during Chanukah.  This can be a great limud for teachers and students, Rabbis and members, and parents with their children. You can listen on your own, follow inside and then review with your chavrusa at night. Develop the questions and maybe have time to look deeper into the analytical side of learning.  This is definitely a pace worth exploring.
